Hello! I'm a PhD candidate in the Computer Science department of George Mason University where I am advised by Dr. Kevin Lybarger. I have previously worked at Capital One as a PhD Data Science intern where I was a part of the AI-Foundations team and researched on improving RAG systems performances on multihop Question Answering. I also interned as a Machine Learning Engineer at Brillient Corporation's Alice Labs, where my research was designing a scalable RAG pipeline for intelligent conversational agents, tailored to efficiently address professionals in the medical, IRS, and HR sectors.
I completed my B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from BRAC University, Bangladesh, where I graduated with the Vice-Chancellor's Gold Medal (awarded to the student with the highest CGPA in the department). I worked as a Lecturer at BRAC University for three years.
My research primarily focuses on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Information Retrieval/Extraction to address various challenges, including but not limited to health communication, through the efficient utilization of resources. In particular, I work and am broadly interested in the following topics:
Intent Detection and Slot Filling for Home Assistants: Dataset and Analysis for Bangla and Sylheti
Extending the frontier of chatgpt: Code generation and debugging
A Federated Learning Approach to Pneumonia Detection
